Jurong Island worker death
A worker died on December 5 after being struck by a concrete block at a demolition site on Jurong Island. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was alerted to the incident at around 5:40 pm. The worker was operating a drill excavator when the large block hit him. An SCDF paramedic pronounced him dead at the scene. The Straits Times has reached out to the police, Ministry of Manpower, and Building and Construction Authority for further details.
