A 15-year-old student, Mihir Ahammed, died by suicide in Kochi after facing severe ragging at Global Public School, Thiruvaniyoor. His mother alleged that he was forced to lick toilet seats and had his head shoved into a flushed toilet due to bullying over his skin color. Mihir jumped from the 26th floor of his home on January 15. An FIR has been filed, and his mother has petitioned the Child Commission for an investigation.
